As we leap into 2022 and hopefully wave goodbye to our 'pandemic lifestyle' we are all looking at new beginnings and how we can give our home and interiors a much needed uplift!
While our habits, lifestyle and general mental well being will influence our style and our ability to create a new look, colour trends are here to help us and give us some guidance and the good news is - colour is back and with it a new sense of happiness!
So what colours should we be looking for? Green has been very on trend for a couple of years now and will continue to be so as more than even as we want to feel close to nature and the stability it offers. During lockdowns we have all spent more time in our gardens, parks or green spaces and as such we all fee green is a very calming colour and which ever hue you choose, from deep forest green to a bright emerald shade, you can rely on green to deliver a sense of calmness, versatility and general well-being.
Shades of blue are forecasted to be the go-to for dining rooms, perfect for those who are now tired of neutral tones, like green, blue can vary from strong midnight blue to light, bright sky blue, reflective of clear skies and the great outdoors.
In contrast 2022 Pantone colour of the year is "Very Peri" with its undertones of violet and purple. The brave will embrace this colour as it provides escapsim and offers brightness as we move into a post-COVID world. If you find it a little too bright and bold, a softer shade of purple may suit whilst still providing fun and charm.
